Notes

IF/OF Dan Cook

Dan was drafted in the 15th round this year as a second basemen out of Florida Atlantic. A switch-hitter, he has played all over the field this season, although primarily as a second baseman in Arizona and a right fielder in Salem-Keizer. He struggled a bit in the AZL, putting up a line of 243/304/278 in 115 AB, but is doing quite well in the Northwest League, hitting 326/429/348 in 46 AB including a drastically improved BB/K rate. My guess is that both of these lines are flukey (or small sample sizey) and that he’s actually some player in between. The versatility is an asset, but I don’t think he’ll hit enough to advance past A-ball.
