A dismal day in the minors as the Arizona Giants had the day off and only Salem-Keizer was able to come through with a victory.

Notes
Andrew was drafted in the 13th round of last year’s draft from Georgia College and State. He played in the Arizona League last year and did not impress. In Salem-Keizer this year, he’s fared better, putting up a 8.71 K/9. As a 23 year old (he will turn 24 in December), Andrew is quite old for the competition so take his numbers with a grain of salt. The only scouting report I can find is from four years ago that stated that Andy sat in the high 80s with some mechanical flaws. The Giants must think that they can fix his mechanics, because drafting a 4th year senior in the 13th round is rather high. You might see him in Augusta next year, though a 24 year old on Low-A would be way older than his competition. My guess is that he’s a non-prospect at this point.
